Brand

Stacey Carter

I was commissioned by Stacey to create an online presence for her stylings as a jazz vocalist. This included not only a custom website but also a social media overhaul with corresponding myspace, twitter, and facebook pages.

Brand

Bootjack Outfitters Inc.

I was commissioned by Bootjack Outfitters Inc., an up and coming company specializing in hunting experiences, to create their logo. They asked that it feature a white tailed deer. The challenge was to create something that could be reproduced in and on a variety of sizes and mediums but also distinctly reflected the deer.

College of Liberal Arts,
Department Sites

This project was part of an initiative to redesign the department websites of the College of Liberal Arts at Southern Illinois University into consistent and manageable templates that the faculty could update. The challenge was to keep a consistent layout throughout all of the departments, while giving each department a website that reflected their studies.

The Soothing System,
Southern Illinois University

For my senior thesis, I reinterpreted Edgar Allan Poe's short story, "The System of Doctor Tarr and Profesor Fether" into a movie. Fortunately, I have some of the best friends and family this side of the Mississippi and they agreed to let me dress them up and take their pictures for the posters.

This project was part of my winning exhibit for the Rickert-Ziebold competition. You can learn more here.

About

about

I’m Beth, a hardworking graphic designer who is enthusiastically dedicated to creating successful design solutions.

Overall, I like to create clean, communicative designs with an emphasis on functionality. But I also enjoy a wide variety of creative styles and tackle new mediums head on. Above all, I like to keep clear, open channels of communication with my clients so together we can produce results.

Besides being a designer, I'm also a movie enthusiast {with a soft spot for zombie movies}, a craftster {sewing and such}, and a farmer's daughter {with a corresponding work ethic} .

I currently intern at Atomicdust and am working on several new projects, if you'd like to see more of my work and the work that I've done at Atomicdust please email me and I'll send you a pdf portfolio.

If you have a job or project in mind, I’d love to talk to you about it. Just contact me through the form or e-mail me at beth@bethporter.com
